The coating line ordered by our Canadian customer has recently arrived at the Port of Montreal. This customer specializes in processing a variety of snacks, including chicken steaks, chicken nuggets, chicken fillets, tofu cubes, and other products. After confirming the project details, the customer finalized the processing flow, which consists of battering, predusting, battering, drum flouring, and frying. We are supplying the following coating equipment: a 200mm waterfall battering machine, a 200mm flouring machine, another 200mm waterfall battering machine, and a 300mm drum flouring machine.

I. Waterfall Battering Machine
The waterfall battering machine efficiently coats products with batter using a unique waterfall mechanism that ensures even coverage and minimizes waste by recycling excess batter. With adjustable settings for various product sizes and shapes, it is ideal for diverse food processing applications, enhancing production efficiency and product quality.
1. Filtration System
The waterfall battering machine is designed with an advanced filtration system that includes a filter tank positioned at the side. This tank is equipped with a built-in filter screen, which effectively captures and removes any residues created during the battering process. By filtering out these unwanted particles, the system prevents contamination of the batter, ensuring its consistency and quality. As a result, the batter can be recycled multiple times, significantly reducing waste and operational costs.
Furthermore, the filter screen features a convenient handle that allows operators to easily lift and remove it for quick cleaning and maintenance. This thoughtful design simplifies the cleaning process, making it more efficient and user-friendly, thereby contributing to the overall productivity of the coating line.
2. Circulatory System
The waterfall battering machine incorporates a sophisticated circulatory system that allows for the recycling of batter after it has been filtered. At the base of the slurry tank, an opening is provided, which is connected to a pipe linked to the slurry pump. This setup facilitates the efficient recirculation of the batter, significantly reducing waste and enhancing the utilization rate of the slurry. By implementing this system, the machine optimizes resource use, contributing to both cost savings and improved sustainability in the production process.
3. Air Blow System
The waterfall battering machine features an adjustable air blow system designed to ensure optimal coating consistency. As the sized product moves through the blowing port, a directed airflow carefully removes excess batter from both the top and bottom surfaces, resulting in a uniform and lightweight coating. Consequently, the air blow system meets the specific coating requirements for a wide range of products, enhancing overall production efficiency and quality.
4. Battered Food
Battered food delivers an enhanced taste experience, combining rich flavors and textures. Locking in moisture, resulting in a tender and juicy interior, elevating the overall flavor profile. II. Preduster Flouring Machine
The preduster flouring machine with 200mm mesh belt width, evenly applies a layer of flour to products before battering or breading, enhancing adhesion and improving texture and flavor.
1. Air Flow System
The flouring machine is equipped with an innovative airflow system designed to enhance flour application and minimize waste. When products enter the machine, some excess flour may remain on their surfaces after the initial coating. To address this, the airflow system efficiently blows away any loose flour particles, ensuring that only the flour that is firmly adhered to the product remains in place.
This advanced airflow system utilizes a cyclone separator to effectively separate the blown-off flour from the air, allowing for efficient dust removal. The collected flour is directed into a bucket of the dust collector, which can easily be emptied after the machine has completed its operation. This not only ensures a clean working environment but also allows for the recycled flour to be reused, significantly reducing waste and promoting cost savings in the production process.
2. Adjustable Coating Thickness
The flouring machine offers an adjustable coating thickness feature, allowing for precise control over the flour application. Inside the machine, a baffle can be adjusted using a side handle; raising the baffle increases the amount of flour that falls, resulting in a thicker pre-sprinkling coating, while lowering it decreases the flour flow for a thinner application. This flexibility ensures that the flour coating on the products is optimized for both quality and flavor.
The entire adjustment process can be easily monitored through a viewport on the side of the machine, providing clear visibility during operation. Additionally, the handles can be securely fixed in place using nuts, ensuring stability and precision during adjustments. This feature facilitates the attainment of the desired pre-dusting coating thickness, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the flouring process.
III. Drum Flouring Machine
1. Predusting Conveyor Belt
To facilitate the transition into the drum area, the drum flouring machine employs a lifting feeding method that allows products to slide smoothly into the drum. In the pre-dusting area, the products are lightly coated with flour to initially absorb any moisture, preparing them for the subsequent drum powdering process.
This section features a side view window for easy monitoring, along with a baffle and handle for adjusting the flour thickness. The adjustment procedure is consistent with that of standard powdering machines. Additionally, a dust cover is included to minimize flour dust dispersion when the machine is in operation, thereby maintaining a clean workshop environment. This component is also designed for easy disassembly, allowing for straightforward cleaning and maintenance.
2. Drum Flouring Section
The drum flouring section of the drum flouring machine is equipped with an inlet baffle that prevents materials from spilling during the input process. Inside the drum, multiple partitions are strategically positioned to optimize the coating of the materials and facilitate their subsequent output. This design ensures even flour distribution and enhances operational efficiency.
3. Discharge Conveyor
To accommodate our customers’ preference for frying immediately after flouring, we have integrated an additional vibration block within the discharge area of the drum flouring machine. This feature effectively shakes off any excess flour from the surface of the product, preventing oil contamination during the subsequent frying process.
Furthermore, a waste box is installed beneath the vibration block to collect any dust or loose flour that is shaken off, ensuring a clean working environment throughout the operation. This thoughtful design enhances both product quality and overall cleanliness in the production area.
Additionally, the discharge port is designed to be submerged and can be directly extended into the fryer. This feature allows products to gently drop into the fryer, minimizing oil splashing and enhancing operator safety.
4. Predusted Food
Predusted food enhances flavor and texture by applying a light layer of flour, improving adhesion for batter or breading. Flouring can introduce additional tastes, creating a delightful contrast between the crispy outer layer and the flavorful inside.
IV. Coating Line Details

1. Mesh Belt Thickness and Gap
Our mesh belts are constructed from high-quality stainless steel, featuring a thickness of 2mm that guarantees wear resistance and durability, ensuring they maintain their shape over time.
Additionally, we offer customized mesh spacing with a 10mm gap, tailored to meet customer specifications. This design ensures that products remain securely on the belt during processing, preventing any risk of falling.
2. Control Panel
The flouring machine, waterfall battering machine, and drum flouring machine are all equipped with intuitive control panels designed for user convenience. Each button is clearly labeled with simple functions, making it easy for even first-time users to operate the machines effectively. Additionally, we offer customization of the control panel in various languages to accommodate customer needs.
The transparent window on the control panel allows users to monitor frequency conversion parameters and make adjustments on-the-fly. To enhance safety, an emergency stop button is strategically located on the side of the control panel. This button is framed to prevent accidental activation, ensuring it remains accessible without interfering with normal operations.
3. Universal Wheel
The waterfall battering machine and flouring machine and drum flouring machine are both equipped with height-adjustable universal wheels, allowing for easy mobility. This feature enables operators to effortlessly maneuver and reposition the machines as needed, enhancing flexibility and convenience within the workspace.
