
Recently, we completed and shipped a chicken patty nuggets production line for our Indonesian customer, who specializes in processing a variety of snacks such as chicken cutlets and nuggets. With a production capacity of approximately 300 kg/hour, this automated system features a 300mm predusting machine, a 300mm dip tempura battering machine, and a 300mm breading machine.

This innovative setup addresses the increasing market demand for “crispy on the outside, tender on the inside” chicken products. Traditional manual methods for battering and coating are often inefficient, prone to uneven coating thickness, excessive crumbling, and peeling after frying. Our automated chicken patty nuggets production line ensures uniform, firm, and crispy coatings with high consistency and quality, even at large-scale outputs. Additionally, it significantly reduces flour waste and labor costs, optimizing production efficiency.

Let’s take a closer look at this advanced production line:
1. Belt Width
The chicken patty nuggets production line ordered by our customer features a 300mm wide conveyor belt on each machine—namely, the predusting machine, the dip tempura battering machine, and the breading machine. This uniform belt width ensures seamless integration and continuous, efficient production flow.

2. Control Panel
Each of the three machines in the chicken patty nuggets production line is independently operated and equipped with a user-friendly control panel. The control panels feature clearly labeled buttons and straightforward functions, making operation simple—even for users who are unfamiliar with such machinery. Additionally, we can customize the interface language to meet specific customer requirements. A transparent window on each panel displays inverter parameters, allowing for easy real-time adjustments and monitoring.

The first stage in the chicken patty nuggets production line involves the predusting process, which prepares the product by applying a light flour coating. This step plays a crucial role in locking in internal moisture, preventing the ingredients from drying out or becoming tough, and ensuring the final product is refreshing, non-greasy, and firm.

1) Air Flow System
As the product passes through the 300mm predusting machine, some residual flour may remain on the surface. To prevent excess flour from contaminating subsequent processing stages, the machine is equipped with an advanced airflow system. This system blows away any fallen flour from the product surface, leaving only the flour that is firmly adhered. The blown-off flour is captured by a cyclone separator, effectively separating dust from airflow. The collected dust is stored in a dust collector bin, which can be emptied after each cycle for continuous operation. This design maintains a clean working environment and reduces flour waste.

2) Flour Hopper
The 300mm predusting machine feeds flour into a hopper, which is connected to an external column. Any non-flour residues or excess flour are collected for recycling, ensuring efficient use of materials.

3) Adjustable Flour Coating Thickness
The 300mm predusting machine features an adjustable flour coating system. An internal baffle, which can be modified using a side handle, controls the amount of flour that falls onto the product. Raising the baffle increases the flour flow, resulting in a thicker pre-dusting layer, while lowering it reduces the flour application for a thinner coating. This adjustable design allows precise control over the flour thickness, ensuring optimal coating quality while preserving the product’s flavor and texture.

4. 300mm Dip Tempura Battering Machine
Following the predusting stage, the product moves to the dip tempura battering machine, which is the second processing step in the chicken patty nuggets production line. Building on the flouring process, the rougher surface created by the predusting step enhances the adhesion of the thick batter. This batter coating ensures that the interior remains tender and juicy while providing a barrier against hot oil penetration. As a result, it reduces oil absorption and contributes to a crispy, delicious final product.

1) Overlapping Mesh Belt
The 300mm dip tempura battering machine is equipped with an overlapping mesh belt design that securely holds the product in the dip tank during coating. The distance between the upper and lower mesh belts can be adjusted to accommodate different types of products. For items prone to floating, such as chicken fillets and fish slices, reducing the gap helps to keep the products in place, resulting in more effective battering.

An adjustable clip screw allows precise control of the gap between the upper and lower mesh belts.

By fully unscrewing this clip, the mesh belt assembly can be lifted easily, facilitating thorough cleaning and maintenance.

2) Air Blow System
The 300mm dip tempura battering machine features an adjustable air blow system. As the battered product passes through the air blower, it carefully removes excess batter from both the top and bottom surfaces, resulting in a uniform and light coating. The height and direction of the air blower can be easily adjusted to optimize batter removal, prevent batter scattering during the air-blowing process, and meet the coating requirements for various product types. This precise control ensures consistent batter coverage and improves overall product quality.

3) Slurry Outlet
The slurry outlet of the 300mm dip tempura battering machine is positioned at the back of the machine. After production, a pipe can be connected to this outlet to efficiently remove waste slurry, facilitating easy operation and reducing labor effort.

The final step in the chicken patty nuggets production line is the breading coating, performed using a 300mm breading machine. After breading, the product is coated with crispy crumbs, which, after frying, give a golden-brown, scaly surface with a fluffy and full appearance. This layered texture results in a product that is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with the outermost breadcrumb layer offering a crisp and crunchy bite.

1) Adjustable Bread Thickness
The 300mm breading machine features an adjustable bread thickness function. On the side inlet of the machine, there are two nut handles that allow for easy adjustment of the baffle. Loosening these handles enables you to move the baffle, and by raising it, you increase the gap, resulting in a thicker bread coating. Conversely, lowering the baffle decreases the gap, producing a thinner bread layer. This adjustable design ensures precise control over the breading thickness to meet different product requirements.

2) Air Blow System
The 300mm breading machine is upgraded with an efficient air blow system. A blower installed at the bottom of the machine directs airflow through a pipe connected to the top of the discharge port. This concentrated airflow blows away excess crumbs from the surface of the product, which are then collected and recycled, reducing bread crumb waste.

The airflow rate is adjustable via a handle on the blower, allowing operators to match different airflow intensities to various products, ensuring optimal coating quality.

3) Breading Pressure Roller
The 300mm breading machine is equipped with a high-precision pressure roller device, adaptable to different breadcrumb sizes, to achieve automated and consistently high-quality breading. Raw products are conveyed smoothly via a bottom conveyor belt, where they first receive an initial crumb coating on both the top and bottom surfaces. The top hopper then distributes breadcrumbs evenly and controllably across the surface, followed by gentle compression and shaping by the pressure rollers. These rollers apply uniform and stable pressure to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere firmly and do not fall off during subsequent processing. With its precise pressure control, this system guarantees uniform coating thickness, consistent product appearance, and high operational accuracy, thereby significantly enhancing production efficiency.

6. Universal Wheels
The entire chicken patty nuggets production line is fitted with high-quality universal wheels, enabling flexible and effortless movement. This design allows the equipment to be easily repositioned within the workshop at any time, simplifying tasks such as transferring, changing work areas, and routine cleaning. The mobility provided by the casters enhances operational convenience and ensures practical use in diverse production environments.

7. Accessories
Our customer-ordered chicken patty nuggets production line is built with durability and sturdiness in mind. We include a comprehensive set of accessories to support smooth operation, including a 3-meter stainless steel mesh belt for the predusting and breading machines, a 1.5-meter stainless steel mesh belt for the dip tempura battering machine, as well as airflow pipes, control buttons, bearings, screws, nuts, and other necessary components. These accessories ensure seamless assembly, maintenance, and reliable operation.

8. CE Certification
All machines included in the chicken patty nuggets production line have successfully obtained CE safety certification, confirming compliance with internationally recognized safety standards. The equipment is built with robust materials, and its safety features, hygiene conditions, and manufacturing quality have undergone strict testing.
