Efficiency is a key focus across all industries today. After washing or blanching, products are often covered in water, making natural air drying slow and inefficient. Using traditional hot air dryers can also hinder continuous production. To address these challenges, we introduced the flip air drying machine, which has been highly praised by our customers.

This innovative machine primarily features a conveyor belt and a fan, designed to accelerate drying by effectively removing surface moisture. It can be seamlessly integrated with other equipment to create a continuous production line. Our Vietnamese customer purchased an 8-meter-long flip air drying machine to boost their operational efficiency. The machine has now been completed and shipped. Their production process involves producing bagged sausages, which are sterilized using a water sterilizer, washed with a bubble washing machine, and then dried with this flip air drying machine before being boxed, sealed, and transported.

The customer required a processing capacity of 1,200 kg per hour. After thorough analysis and calculations by our engineering team, we recommended an 8-meter-long machine. Additionally, various functions were customized to meet their specific needs.

1. Machine Design

The flip air drying machine is 8 meters in length and equipped with 13 fans. The drying process is divided into two zones: the ambient temperature drying zone, featuring 5 sets of air knife fans (totaling 10 fans), and the hot air drying zone, which includes three axial fans. These zones work in tandem to enhance drying efficiency and dehydration.

2. Control Panel

The flip air drying machine is equipped with a user-friendly control box that features clearly labeled buttons for power, conveyor operation, heating, and fan control. The control panel also includes a temperature controller and frequency converters for the conveyor and fans, enabling precise adjustments. This design allows even users with no prior experience to operate the machine easily. Custom language options are available upon request.

To facilitate maintenance and troubleshooting, the control panel employs a snap-on design, providing easy access to electrical components and wiring.

3. Stainless Steel Mesh Belt

The flip air drying machine utilizes a 304 stainless steel large-mesh belt, which effectively prevents material from falling through and avoids wastewater accumulation, ensuring smooth and hygienic operation.

4. Air Knife Fans

The flip air drying machine is equipped with 5 sets of air knife fans, totaling 10 units. After washing, products often retain moisture, and these air knives blow away surface water more quickly and thoroughly. This intensive airflow significantly improves drying efficiency by removing most water stains from the product surface.

5. Flip Design

The conveyor of the flip air drying machine is engineered with a height difference to facilitate the flipping process. Since the customer uses it to dry sausages, with the largest measuring 168×180 mm, we designed the flip height to be 20 cm. This provides ample space for flipping, ensuring that both sides of the sausages are fully exposed to airflow and thoroughly dried.

6. Hot Air Zone

After the sausages are air-dried by the air knife, removing surface moisture, they proceed into the hot air drying section of the flip air drying machine. This zone features blue curtains at both the inlet and outlet to prevent hot air loss and provide insulation, maintaining optimal drying conditions.

This section is equipped with three disc-type axial fans, each paired with a U-shaped heating element beneath it. The fans blow heated air, effectively drying any remaining moisture on the surface of the bagged sausages.

To ensure operator safety and energy efficiency, the hot air zone is fitted with a protective cover. This cover prevents accidental contact with the heating elements and helps retain warmth within the drying area.

7. Thermometer  

The flip air drying machine is equipped with a thermometer in the hot air zone to monitor the temperature in real time. This allows operators to prevent temperature anomalies and make necessary adjustments promptly, ensuring optimal drying conditions.

8. Wastewater Tray  

During the drying process, the flip air drying machine blows moisture from the surface of the sausages onto the ground. To maintain a clean and dry workshop environment, we have installed a 304 stainless steel wastewater tray to collect dripping water. The tray is divided into three removable sections, making cleaning quick and easy, thereby saving time and effort.

9. Feet and Casters  

The flip air drying machine is mounted on four swivel casters for easy mobility. Additionally, it features 16 height-adjustable disc feet, allowing it to operate stably on uneven surfaces. Users can easily adjust the feet to ensure the machine remains level, optimizing performance and safety.

10. Stainless Steel Construction  

Constructed entirely from food-grade 304 stainless steel, the flip air drying machine is highly durable and resistant to rust. 11. Maintenance and Care  

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the flip air drying machine, customers should perform regular maintenance and servicing according to the provided instructions. Applying lithium-based grease to the motor chain and bearings regularly helps extend the lifespan of these components. After each use, wiping the conveyor belt with a clean cloth to remove moisture and impurities prevents buildup and potential corrosion. Additionally, it is important to check the heating elements hourly during operation and clean off any debris or residue that may accumulate, ensuring consistent and efficient heating. Consistent maintenance will help keep the machine running smoothly, reduce downtime, and prolong its service life.



12. Production Line Integration  

The flip air drying machine can operate independently or be integrated into a larger production line. For example, our Vietnamese customer connects it to an air bubble washing machine: after washing, the sausages are air-dried before packing.  

Similarly, Italian customers often link it to a blanching machine, combining blanching and air drying for cooling and moisture removal.
